Watch the Ganga Aarti's lamps, fire and chants from the middle of the river — the best seat for Varanasi's most iconic evening ritual, on a boat booked just for your group.
Every evening at Dashashwamedh Ghat, priests perform the Ganga Aarti with fire lamps, conch shells and chanting as crowds gather on the steps. From land, you watch from behind a crowd. From a boat on the water, you face the ghat directly — lamps, flames and reflections on the river, all in front of you.
The ₹3,499 evening ride is a Normal Motor Boat (₹2,999) with the Ganga Aarti add-on (₹500) included. Prefer the Aarti with no add-on? The Bajra Boat (from ₹9,999, 1–30 persons) includes the Aarti and all 84 ghats.
Aarti begins around 5:45 PM in winter (Oct–Mar) and 6:45 PM in summer (Apr–Sep) — board 30 minutes early.
